RIDGELAND, MS -- EdgeTheory, LLC, has announced that William P. Crowell, noted venture capitalist and former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency, has joined the company as an advisor. Mr. Crowell brings extensive expertise in technology and national security to the company, which develops innovative narrative analysis software for the public and private sectors.
Mr. Crowell is currently a Partner at Alsop Louie Partners, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm, and has served in senior executive positions for a number of successful technology companies, mainly in the information security industry. He served as Deputy Director of the NSA from 1994 to 1997, during which time he was the highest-ranking civilian in the agency. Crowell also served as Chairman of the Director of National Intelligence Senior Advisory Group from 2007–2014.
