On March 15, senior police officer Kitikarn Sangbun fired multiple shots at home in Bangkok, Thailand, which ensued a 27 hour stand-off with other officers. He died later Wednesday night of gun-shot wound injuries, and sources say Kitikarn was previously struggling with mental health issues along with immense stress. The police Inspector General’s Office is now taking measures to do mental health checks for officers across the country as a result.
