Database Administrator (DBA)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with other engineering, security and DevOps teams to implement and maintain source code, pipelines, and security best practices
• Monitor job execution and server performance, and troubleshoot issues when they occur
• System deployment, maintenance, upgrade, migration, and patching management
• Manage mission critical database replication environments
• Enforce architectural governance, deployment standards and best practices
• Manage MySQL backups and data archiving
• Manage staging an production database environments
• Lead data and database environment migrations

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in MySQL 5.7 or above Database Administration
• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management, backup, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience with MySQL internal architecture, demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, replication, mirroring, and capacity planning
• Hands on experience in monitoring and performance tuning of problem queries and schemas
• Experience creating and maintaining indexes
• Experience in Amazon cloud services such as Aurora MySQL, RDS
• Experience with Percona Toolkit, AWS Cloudwatch, or other equivalent monitoring tools
• Experience with large datasets (over 1 billion rows) preferred
• AWS RDS, Percona Server for MySQL or other equivalent certification preferred
