Over the past three days, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a series of drills near Taiwan in response to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen’s visit to the US.
Both modules generated 988 unique narratives across 212 unique sources, with the Pacific Region Media accounting for over 51% of the narratives amplified.
The US Media Module saw its largest spike in keyword activity on April 6, while the Pacific Region Media module saw its largest spike from April 9-10.
In both modules, keywords such as president tsai, speaker kevin mccarthy, tsai ing-wen, and house speaker kevin mccarthy appeared frequently.
The Pacific Region Media mentioned both military drills and military exercises, while the US Media module focused primarily on the political leaders surrounding the events.
