The hate crimes narrative has been amplified by 264 U.S. media sources across more than 500 unique narratives in the last 30 days. A majority of the amplified articles discuss a rise in violence against Asian Americans during COVID-19, and Asian Americans’ fear of violence as more cities lift COVID-19 restrictions.
