As of June 7, the critical infrastructure narrative among the U.S. media has been amplified by 83 sources across more than 100 unique narratives. These amplifications have largely involved topics related to cybersecurity and the Biden administration’s efforts to pass a comprehensive infrastructure plan. Currently, the leading narrative trends associated with critical infrastructure include white housecolonial pipeline, and ransomware attacks. These leading trends have primarily been driven by the near constant barrage of cyberattacks that have recently befallen both the U.S. government and private industry in America.
