OXFORD, MS – EdgeTheory is thrilled to announce the addition of Doowan Lee as Chief Strategy Officer. With a unique background in information security and AI-driven influence analytics, Lee will be instrumental in driving EdgeTheory’s mission to enhance narrative intelligence capabilities for both government and private sectors.
As a recognized expert in dual use technology, Lee brings to EdgeTheory extensive experience in leveraging data and AI to identify, prioritize, and counter malign information operations. His expertise has led to successful collaborations with government and academic institutions, making him a powerful asset in supporting national security efforts. Alongside his role at EdgeTheory, Lee serves on Georgetown University’s Social Media Task Force and holds senior advisory positions with Trust in Media, Military Veterans in Journalism, and New Debate, where he works to address the challenges of today’s information environment.

Lee’s career includes founding roles at leading AI firms in Silicon Valley, where he pioneered technologies for detecting harmful narratives in digital content supply chains. Before joining the private sector, he taught at the Naval Postgraduate School for over a decade, developing communications and operational projects for federal R&D agencies to combat violent extremist networks, disinformation, and revisionist state actors. His contributions to the field are widely recognized through his published research in top journals and magazines addressing information security threats.
