Amid exceptional drought conditions in the American West, 69 U.S. media sources have amplified more than 100 unique narratives related to drought since May 19.
As of Tuesday, the top individual narrative is a New York Times article titled, “How Severe Is the Western Drought? See For Yourself.” The article, published on June 11, covers data from the National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln which was released on June 10.
